Rachel LaMont’s win was pretty as a picture. In the most convincing win of the New Era of Survivor, the graphic designer from Michigan is the latest Survivor millionaire and the winner of Season 47 beating Sam and Sue at the final tribal council.

Rachel received all the jury votes but one. Kyle, Sam’s closest ally and friend in the game, voted for him to win. Sue didn’t receive a single vote.

“I feel like I am having an out of body experience because it is just so surreal!” said Rachel celebrating her win.

Rachel commented that the biggest lesson she learned playing Survivor was that she thought she had a firm grasp of her strengths and weaknesses as a person but the game flipped those assumptions on her.

“I was kind of able to work with it and adapt to it and land myself here. I am a little bit in shock if I am completely honest,” she continued.

The final four became the final three early in the show when Rachel won the last immunity challenge. Rachel won four of the five final immunity challenges. She then picked Sam to make fire against Teeny. Sam won sending Teeny to the jury.

“I am disappointed not to win but I knew it was an uphill battle coming in. I tried to come in tonight with the same mentality I went into fire with, to come out fighting and give it my best. I knew I could make a compelling case. I felt I played a really good game that I should be proud of. I came in wanting to win but at peace with the result,” said Sam of finishing second.

Season 48 of Survivor debuts on February 26th, 2025, on Global TV.
