Big Brother 26 is not Angela Murray’s first brush with fame.

Angela has been on a couple of game shows as well as House Calls with Dr. Phil.

Angela and her family appeared on the first episode of the series in 2021. The idea behind the show was that Dr. Phill would travel across the United States assisting families who were in crisis.

The Murray clan were featured on the August 18th, 2021, episode entitled: Traumatized and Dramatized.

The log line for the episode was: “Dr. Phil visits a family in Utah where one teenage daughter hasn’t spoken to her father in five years and her sister in three years, while living in the same house; their desperate mother reaches out to Dr. Phil.”

In the episode Dr. Phil accused Angela of “enabling the behaviour” of her daughter, Lexi. Even though the Murray family lived in the same house Lexi shut herself off from the other members.

“Our problems are serious enough to have you come?” asked Chuck, Angela’s husband, when the good doctor arrived.

“Apparently so,” answered Dr. Phil entering the family home and kitchen.

Angela’s son CJ explained that his father yelled so loud that the neighbours have called the police in the past and he was very afraid of his father growing up.

The problems began for Lexi though when Chuck took away her phone and threw it into the swimming pool as he warned her he would. Little did Chuck know that Angela was sneaking it back to Lexi at night. Lexi insisted that her sister Christine ratted on her to Chuck which is why she stopped talking to her too.

The phone dispute had something to do with Lexi’s underage drinking, according to the show.

Examining the family dynamics Dr. Phil told Angela she was defining her relationship with her husband with “deceit”, “disrespect” and “deception”. Angela claimed to feel “sick” that she made the problem worse than it was by colluding with Lexi behind her husband’s back.

“That was the only way I could hurt him back,” said Lexi about why she had iced out her own dad.

Dr. Phil, of course, brought the entire family back together by the end of the segment. He had Lexi and Chuck team up to solve an escape room and it was later revealed that Chuck has diabetes and therefore his eyesight has been fading.

“It was nothing short of a miracle, to be honest!” said Angela of Dr. Phil’s intervention.

It appears that Angela also loves game shows too. She has appeared as a contestant on both The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal in the past.
