A Winnipeg lawyer will be playing the game of a lifetime. Genevieve Mushaluk will be among 18 new castaways who will compete against each other on the 47th season of Survivor. Also joining the cast is “Pod Save America” co-host and former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett. The new season will feature 90-minute weekly episodes beginning Wednesday, Sept. 25th, (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on Global TV.

The following are the 18 new castaways competing this fall:

He,  Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor own Crooked Media. He also co-created the show 1600 Penn and was a writer and producer on the HBO’s The Newsroom.

She has been a lawyer for seven years. She currently serves as the Senior Counsel for Priceline Partner Solutions. One of her older bios states: “Genevieve Mushaluk completed the Juris Doctor program at the University of Manitoba. Genevieve was involved in various Robson Hall extra-curricular activities and clubs such as the Business Law Group and Community Outreach Committee, and became the Manitoba Law Students Association Vice-President 2015-2016. Genevieve also participated in the Israel law exchange program, studying abroad at the Hebrew University Rothberg International School in Jerusalem for a month. In her free time, Genevieve enjoys travelling, fishing, and baking.”

He is the Tennessee Titans Reporter for A to Z Sports Nashville. His bio says: “Sam Phalen joined A to Z Sports in 2022 as the Tennessee Titans beat reporter and co-host of the A to Z Sports Morning Show. Sam provides Titans fans with informative and engaging content from inside the locker room. Sam is a passionate fan of baseball, trivia, and reality television.”

He is a Data Analyst, NLP Master’s Student. He was a finalist for a recent previous season but didn’t make the cut.

She owns the flying school Whiskey Foxtrot Aviation. Her bio reads: “The name “Whiskey Foxtrot” has more of a meaning than just the words. The initials W.F. stand for Women Fly.
