What is the Global TV app?
The Global TV App is a first-of-its-kind TV Everywhere product designed to amplify the viewing experience for cable subscribers by delivering unprecedented live and on demand access to the biggest networks and the most-watched shows anytime, anywhere in one app.

Is the Global TV app free?
The Global TV App is free to download on iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV Devices, Samsung and LG Smart TVs.
It can also be streamed on the web on watch.globaltv.com.
What is unlocked?
– Stream full episodes of Global TV shows On Demand for the first 7 days after they air on TV.
– Free Live TV: 12 all-new channels with top movies & shows – featuring Canadian drama, romance, thrillers, lifestyle, factual and true crime!
– Freeplay: Thousands of hours of your favourite shows and movies. Enjoy them again, or see them for the first time. Absolutely FREE.
– Global News, Live 24/7 – 13 regional feeds and one national feed are always free and unlocked!
– Select specialty channel shows may be available unlocked for limited periods of time.
What requires sign in with a TV subscription?
– The Global TV App currently includes content from Global TV, Global News, Flavour Network, Home Network, W Network, The HISTORY Channel, Showcase, Slice, National Geographic, Adult Swim and Lifetime.
– Stream full episodes from all the channels available to you with your TV subscription.
– Stream live TV from all the channels available to you with your TV subscription.
– Be sure to enjoy the full Global TV experience by signing in with your TV subscription! Select ’Sign In’ in the settings menu and follow the instructions.
Will the Global TV app use my cellular data plan (5G/4G/LTE)
You have the option in “Settings” to restrict playback to WiFi only. If you choose to allow cellular playback you may incur mobile data plan charges
Do I have to sign in every time I open the app?
No! Your first sign-in remains valid for 120 days and will reset for another 120 days every time you open the app. So if you sign in once and come back every week to catch up on your favourite shows, you should not need to sign in again.
How many people in my household can stream on different devices with the same TV provider information?
You can have 3 unique devices streaming on your account at any given time.
Can I use the Global TV app outside of Canada?
No. All content is only licensed for audiences in Canada, so you will not be able to watch video on this app if you are outside of Canada. If you are inside of Canada and getting notified that you are outside of Canada there is likely an issue with your IP address and you should contact your internet provider.
Can I use the Global TV app on a jailbroken device?
No. You will receive error messages if the device has been jailbroken. This is a requirement from the TV studios to ensure the content is protected.
Having issues casting with your Chromecast?
Ensure your Chromecast is connected to the same WiFi network as the device you are casting from. The cast icon will only show up in the Global TV app if both your Chromecast and your device are connected to the same WiFi network. If you are still having issues, unplug the power supply of your Chromecast and turn your TV off and on. This should resolve most connectivity issues.
