The Sinner’s Jessica Biel Visits The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Jessica Biel, known for her roles in The Rules of Attraction, Stealth and 7th Heaven (among many others), is a hot commodity these days with her new critical darling The Sinner (which currently sits at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes), of which she is the star and the executive producer. So since Colbert is all about the best guests, it’s surprising it took even this long for Biel to sit across from his desk on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The Sinner has been making waves since premiering early August, with people not being able to get enough of the mystery behind Jessica Biel’s character, murderous mom Cora Tannetti. There are still a few episodes left, so catch them Mondays at 10 ET/PT on Showcase, or catch up on the series with Showcase on Demand.
On The Late Show, Colbert and Biel develop an instant rapport. Colbert asks Biel how the executive producer version of herself and the actor version of herself got along on the set of The Sinner. The dynamic is clear when she identifies herself as a “pushover producer, but … a bitchy star.”
But as the executive producer of her personal life, she has a much stronger force of will to deal with than any actor could throw her way: a toddler. Her and her husband Justin Timberlake’s son is getting stronger and more belligerent by the day, and it’s seriously de-glamming their lifestyle.
