Thank A Nurse
Thank A Nurse
As a complement to the upcoming new medical drama Nurses, Global is launching Thank a Nurse – a recognition campaign for Canadians to thank the everyday nurses who have had a positive impact on their lives. Beginning today through Wednesday, January 1, all Canadians can nominate or submit the name of a nurse (currently working in Canada) to be featured on GlobalTV.com, the network’s social platforms, and for the chance to appear on Global’s The Morning Show. To participate:
- Send the name of the nomination, which city and hospital or healthcare organization they work at, and a short reason explaining why they deserve to be recognized for their nursing efforts
- All submissions can be made via Twitter by using the hashtag #thankanurse and by tagging @globaltv
- Submissions can also be emailed to GlobalPR@corusent.com
Use the hashtag #thankanurse and tell us about a nurse in your life whose hard work and dedication deserves a shout out on @morningshowca.

Thanks to all those who’ve already nominated a nurse! Here are some of the submissions we’ve received:
I almost forgot to do this, #thankanurse #globalTV @GlobalTV
First one, Rowena at @THP_hospital Mississauga Hospital, 4D, the neuro ward where I was recovering after 2 surgeries. Our "bruh-mance" (friendship between female/male🤷♂️my term) really helped me through a tough time. 1/— John W. Harris🇨🇦🤷♂️🤦♂️ (@JohnWHarris15) December 2, 2019
Today I don’t want to just #thankanurse, I want to thank an inspirational friend in my life who continues to challenge and grow her career, all the while taking care of every single person around her #thankyoueveryday @estheramanda @globaltv

Jamil Sauco is an RN in T.O. He took care of my grandmother when she was in palliative care and was incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional. He is also an amazing mentor, giving his residents hands-on experience and guidance. #gratitude #thankanurse @GlobalTV

Hey @globaltv, I have a nomination for #thankanurse. Heather Medema works for IHA in Vernon Jubilee, she makes her floor and team a better place to work and be a patient in, all the while battling her own health issues too. She is a warrior.

I’d have to nominate the great teams of Nurses at the Aberdeen Region Hospital in New Glasgow. #thankanurse
