The Catwoman

Zoë Kravitz is the leading lady in the most recent superhero blockbuster The Batman. The newest Catwoman to be seen on the big screen, this isn’t her first Batman foray. Rumours have been abound the past few days that Kravitz auditioned for a role in The Dark Knight Rises in 2012, and was allegedly rejected for being too “urban.” And now, 10 years later, she is the Catwoman. So shove over, Anne Hathaway.

And, it’s not even her first time as Catwoman – she voiced the character in The LEGO Batman Movie. Which, of course, now begs the question, is The Batman set in the same universe as The LEGO Batman Movie? Is it coincidence? Either or, it is confusing.

And either or, it’s still a slam dunk for Saturday Night Live – they always try for the biggest stars, and Kravitz’s star keeps rising! With no connection to the show, Kravitz is going in blind – as a bat, you might say. But she’ll land on her feet, as a cat always does.
