But when Tommy Cummins’ portrait leads to a call identifying the murder victim as a friend of Roger’s, Alberg’s feelings for Cassandra threaten to cloud his judgement. Yet even as the clues pile up against Roger, Alberg’s instincts tell him there’s a larger pattern at play…and that he and his team are up against a serial killer.

A pair of gruesome murders – with victims eerily posed – has the community on edge. Clues at one crime scene point to a local boxing gym, whose owner was recently evicted by the victim, who was also his ex-lover. Desperate to identify the other murdered woman, Alberg turns to Tommy Cummins, a local art teacher, for a portrait that will “bring her to life”.
